Business professionals who spend too much time online, sometimes lose sight of their target (goals). Web Design abd Local Search Engine Optimization, etc is a great example of my explanation. Take a look at some of the more popular websites within this market, those such as SERoundtable, SEOMoz, SearchEngineJournal and tons of others are primary examples. For instance, they’ve become so obsessed with reporting Google updates that they’ve completely forgotten their sole agenda.
Sad isn’t it! Unprofessionalism is what many would like to point out. Personally, well…I think it’s a simple loss of interest and loss of track of the business target at hand. SEOMoz started out as a Blackhat system. Rand Fishken done all he could to make money, even if it took him “buying links”. Today SEOMoz thrives not from buying links, but from selling SEO tools and software, so to speak. Yet, they come off as a social friendly web hand. Have you ever submitted a blog post to SEOMoz? Try doing so.
SERoundtable thrives from reporting what Google is doing and its workers. What ever happened to online businesses sticking to their agenda and offering their customers what they wanted through their blog and their services. In todays modern world (2013) it appears to me that businesses online thrive more from doing anything and everything. Especially within the Internet Marketing market or niche.
RxSEO has had its ups and downs. We’ve had tons of experiences. Our sole joy comes not from reporting or software, but from the education we offer through our blog and the quality and uniqueness of it.
I hope that come 2013 there will be more online websites and blogs to stick to their roots. I hate seeing bloggers and webmasters designing their site based upon what Google wants. Why not design your online presence based upon who you are and what you know. Personality and charicter goes a long ways.
When it comes to the bottom of it all, there’s no hidden secrets surrounding SEO or Internet Marketing. The secret is basic truth. Truth is seldom extremely difficult to locate within many of us. When you finally understand yourself, life becomes that much more interesting. So does blogging and marketing.
Reality T.V has become the talk around my local town. Why on earth would so many folks enjoy reality T.V ? Because it’s real? Because the people seem so funny? Or is it because we relate to it a little more than we do to monsters and five headed goats in swimsuites.
We started our websites because we wanted to show others around the world what we are capable of, not because we was selfish and unreal. Keep to your roots and eventually everything else will follow.
Building web traffic isn’t ever an easy task. Traffic only comes when you provide something they desire. The more desirable, the more visitors you’ll receive to your opportunities and offers.
