In 2012 Google started sending out Webmaster Notifications to Webmasters, when Google found a website (Webmaster) to be in violation of the Google guidelines. There was many Webmasters to receive a Webmaster Notification throughout the Google Penguin and Google Panda updates. If you’re like me, then you’re to the point of being sick to your stomach of hearing about Penguins and Pandas. I’m going to steer clear of that topic, just for you.
I’ve always wondered if all webmasters have received basically the same notifications — then again, I don’t know how many different notifications the Google Webmaster team sends out. Although, today Matt Cutts released a new video on this topic.
Just so happens — 90% of ALL Webmaster Notifications are Blackhat related. This only confirms my speculation per the amount of spammers in today’s marketing scene. I’ll tell ya — you better be very careful when you’re choosing a link building or SEO service provider. Here’s the facts (provided by Google)
- Black hat notifications is ~90%
- Low or no quality content is ~4%
- Hacking is ~3%
- Buying links is ~2%
- Selling links is ~1%
There’s a Google Plus comment that I found to be quite interesting.
