Is pinging your backlinks a good idea? Pinging your newly created backlinks, surely gets Google’s attention. Google will take the links you send her, and then index them. The question that seems to be a major question between webmasters, is should we ping our newly created backlinks. Read on, to learn exactly what to do.

Is it even a good idea to spend your time, creating links??? The answer still really remains unknown. Although, it seems everywhere you turn on the web, all we see is a “new backlink package”. A new link building ebook. A new kind of google favored backlink. A new way to manage your SEO needs.

The question I would like to answer here, is to “ping or not to ping”. As far as the backlink uprise goes, I strongly advise each of you to stick to the old school methods, and don’t go for those no count backlink packages, that get you NO results. Just stop. Iv’e always lived by the means of when something isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Can you imagine how much money is spent online each day, from those who buy backlink services?

When you do happen to get a successful, normal backlink, I do not suggest that you ping it. Google is a fairly smart search engine. Allowing google to naturally locate your links via the search engine spider, is a more natural, respected way of ranking. Think about it like this, when some of you guys use those SEO software such as SenukeX , XRumer and those alike, after you have created 100k backlinks, sure, you would want to ping those. Let me point something out to you though, please. When google receives a ping, from 100+ ping sites, red flags go off. All you are doing is setting of spam alerts, toward your money site. This is the primary reason why, your hundreds of thousands of backlinks aren’t ranking you for your target keywords.

One of the more popular ping softwares, is free. If you choose to use these tools, go right ahead. I recommend if you use a ping service, use pingfarm.com . Another tool that’s pretty cool is backlinkwatch.com, head on over there and enter in your biggest competitors url. This tool will actually show you where your competitor is creating their mostpowerful backlinks. Pay close attention to the #number of links, your competitor has. I guarantee you they don’t have thousands, and surely not hundreds of thousands. If you want to build backlinks that matter, find where your competitors have built their links, and build yours there as well.
